Logo design for apples & pears

When designing the apples & pears logo, a round typeface was chosen for a friendly and welcoming feel whilst also creating an obvious link between the logo and the subject matter, especially when combined with the colour green.

The shapes of the apple and the pear within the ampersand result in an image that, when necessary, can also function perfectly well as a standalone logo without the need for the text either side of it.
